Personally I consider it as most beautiful part of our sky for wide field astrophotography. When I saw it for very first time long long ago It was my dream to take a picture. Finally two conditions were met: spending wonderful night under southern stars and run dedicated setup with lenses

For canon photographers this is very challenging nebula. Large complex of SNR located in Vela constellation. This part of the sky was going down too quickly to take the frames it demand.

First small mosaic ( 2 panels) - large wide filed really. I was asked to show specific region of the southern sky exposing 3 crosses: Southern, Diamond and False one. I must admit I was not aware about Diamond one till now.

This part of the sky was located at SSE and was going down very quickly after dusk. I guess this is lowest part I aimed during my stay there. I found it interesting to see part of the sky that is in theory visible at my home late spring but so low that never puprosly observed. Few nebulae and many star clusters obviously
